Man, I know..I suck at blogging..but what can you do?? I love my life.. my job is awesome my family is amazing and growing.. Oh wait I didn't tell you.. YES WE ARE 2o WEEKS PREGGO!! More awesome news... ITS A GIRL!! We are so excited... Nia will adore her little sister.. she loves babies. She rubs my belly and says "Jayda" then she rubs dads belly and says "Jayda" too.. she might not understand the entire concept yet but she understands -big belly must mean baby! Well Zo is enjoying being out of school for the summer and being at home with Nia while I'm at work. He loves his daddy daughter time! Nia is 2 1/2 and is talking up a storm. Shes starting to tell on daddy when I come home. ItS pretty funny she tells when she had to sit in the naughty chair like she wants me to make daddy sit there for making her sit there. She is such a sweetheart but can be a firecracker also! Well thats life recently I'll try to keep up!!

What a Wonderful Life

What a wonderful year it has been!! Its only the first month in the year and we have been so blessed. I am working full time as a Child Development Specialist and I love it. If a child 0-3 years old has trouble developing in a timely fashion I go in do some standardized testing and work with the child until there is progress. It is amazing to see a child who is 2 years old and not talking progress to speaking in 3 and 4 word sentences. Its an amazing job. Nia goes to pre-preschool during the day and she loves it. I hate not being able to be home with her but I see her doing the day also because a few of the toddlers I work with are in her class. But she is learning so much at such a fast pace its crazy. In this economy many families have to have 2 incomes.. just so happen the Lord has blessed me with a career that I love and worked so hard for (I did get a bachelors in Child Development why not use it right). To each his own.. I love it!! LaRenzo is still loving work and he's doing so good. We love our home and we will have been in it for a year.. can u believe that..our own home! Its just such a blessing to us that we were able to work so hard and pray even harder for where we are now.

We were thinking.. Is Tooele where we want to live forever?? We love the LDS community especially since we didnt grow up in a community like this. We want Nia to have good experiences and in a great community.. What do u think.. whats a good place to raise LDS kids where we wont have to worry about her being the only member in her school like I was?? We're open to hear suggestions??

Angels Amongst Us

I believe every now and then God looks down and says "I shall bless you with one of my angels because I love you" and thats where FRIENDS come into our lives. Our life has been so blessed with so many wonderful friends.. Even though both my husband and I left all behind when we came to the West... (Rexburg and Utah) We've been amazed how our own home has been made amongst friends who have in fact become family (tear..)!! How we love you all for you are our gifts of love from Heavenly Father our own personal angels.. Yes we have been blessed!!

We teach, we hear, we talk about trails.. It's so different when you experience them.. Thats when you really learn.. I've found myself asking "Why" so many times this past month.. Isn't that the normal when you're going through your own trails?? Maybe I'm just different... Maybe not.. But in asking "Why" I've had a chance to grow closer to my Savior because He answered me... He answered little ole me.. and here I am again asking "Why".. Why would He answer me??? Could it possibly be because He knows what I'm going through.. Could it be because He cares... Could it be because He knew I would listen to His comfort.. Could it be because He LOVES me..... well, YES, YES YES to all of the above!!!

We lost our baby at 5 months pregnant.. His poor little heart gave out on Him.. This is the first time we've ever experienced so much heart ache.. but we are okay... with the knowledge we've been given... we will cry, we will laugh, we will wait.. until our baby comes back...

We're Preggo!!!!

Yes it's official and we're coming out!!! We're pregnant!!!! And we're so excited.. Nia needs someone else to play with.. the dog didn't do the job!! So baby 2 is one its way. Our due date is March 28 2010.. 2010 CAN U BELIEVE THAT 2010... Crazy huh.. We are 4 months pregnant and this pregnancy was worse than Nia.. I didnt have any morning sickness with Nia no nausea or anything.. but this baby had my stomach in my throat through the entire first trimester uggghhh. I'm much better now even though my heartburn has started just yesterday, now I did have massive heartburn with Nia through my entire pregnancy. We've been asked what we want boy or girl.. well LaRenzo wants a boy. He's already named him Jayden Charles (Charles after my grandfather who just passed away a couple months ago) But me I dont care if its a girl or boy, if its a girl we wont have to buy anything but if its a boy well he'll just wear pink the first few years of his life..lol!! My sister has her baby in a couple of weeks that we're all excited for she has 2 boys this will be her girl and while she goes back to work a few months afterward my mom will be keeping the baby during the day so we'll see if my mom will be able to make it up here for baby 2 of mine.. If not thats okay.. she's a busy woman and needed everywhere!! Life is happening so fast my baby will be turning 2 years old in a couple of weeks Oct 7 to be exact! She is such a big helper I need to post pics of her so ya'll can see how tall and cute she's gotten. Well we'll keep you updated on our bundle of joys!!

It seems I'm not a very good blogger at all... I know it... you know it.. life gets way too crazy especially this summer. My hubby and I are working on our basement.. We just finished framing and building a fireplace/ entertainment system.. now we are drywalling. It has taken about 2 weeks but we're getting it done. Nia is being such a big girl about it also she's such a good girl (sometimes). We love our new home and our life!!!

Twilight

Well as if you haven't noticed yet.. I am a Twilight fan... what can I say... I love Edward!!!. Honestly I haven't read a book since High School... but I sat down and read Twilight and I couldnt stop until I read the last book!! I even read the start of Moonlight (I think that was the name of the book Stefanie started about Edwards experiece in the first book, unfortunatly shes not going to finish that book... so sad!!!) Well it took me a week to read all the books and the next week I read them over again... Yes Edward is my brand narcotic!!! Well besides Twilight.. life is good.. Nia is growing everyday and speaking new words continuously.. she says "bless you, thank you, love you, pray, sorry, she counts to 3, she knows A B C, she says grandma, papa, and my favorite... beat yo butt!" She is a trip and a half... Dad is good he loves school and continues to support us in every way possible.. Not to mention Nia has him wrapped around her little fingers... I need to learn so techniques from her.. maybe if I pooped in my pants... cried when I was hungry and spit milk in his face I would get my way too!! What do you think??? Naw.. might not work after all.. her probably would think I was crazier than I really am! Well we found a new home here in tooele and hopefully we will be closing on it this week... we love it so much.. 5 bdrm and a basement that Zo can finish and its in a wonderful neighborhood!! Right behind Walmart... Yeah!! We knew this would be our home when we walked into Nia's room and she said "ohh..wee" Her room is huge with a beautiful playhouse and a slide on it... she's going to have so much fun in there!! We are so excited to open that new chapter in our lives. Well I sure cant believe I'm turning 25 in eight days... (well I guess those of you who know me better know I lied... so what I'm turning 26.. whose counting... if you are... you probably need a life... haahahaha) So I'll be turning 25:). It crazy how time flies by huh... Well I'll do better at updating... but as of now I'm reading Host by Stephanie Meyer.. and its taking a little longer to get into it than I expected... but I'm going to go read now!! We pray for all our family and friends and we hope youre doing well..

Whats New in the New Year

We sure hope everyone had a merry christmas and a happy new year. Just wanting to update everyone. We are not in our new home yet, there seems to be delays with the loan company due to holidays and misguided timing on their part. It sucks. but what can you do. By the time they told us it was being delayed until after the new year we had already packed up our home, took down our Christmas tree and packed up all of our Christmas presents, needless to say we were pissed!!! Well afterwards... our friends Jill and Aaron came to the rescue saving Christmas with two wonderful prelit Christmas trees so that we could at least have our trees. Its good to have wonderful friends especially ones you can vent to.. Thanks Jill, Tati, and Becca. Well Nia had the best christmas ever... she is so spoiled.. but she deserves it!! Shes surely a daddys girl!! Well we love our little family and all the laughs we share. I swear life would be boring without laughter.. and we do lots of that in this neck of the woods. Well we'll post some pics later... yeah when Christmas came around we were out of batteries for the camera so we had to video tape our Christmas this year!! That will come in handy when we make our video for our parents at the end of this year.. well I'm just rambling on. but its fun to do it. We'll keep yall updated on the home. Nia is getting so big she's about 15 months and she loves to eat.. she says "umm" to everything she eats.. it makes me excited to cook. Shes learning everyday she says "purple, duckie, baby, Quita-(the name of her black baby doll we spent months looking for her in utah),and she says "nana- (short for bananas)" She's such a smart baby. Well we start back work this monday. I'm taking on 2 jobs.. one at Utah State Extention in tooele with the IT team. I basically make sure that the broadcasting classes on Mon-Weds from 4:30-10:30pm are ran smoothly and I also have a job interview as a nursing assitant on thurs-sun helping 2 clients with down syndrome around their home.. its only for 2-5 hours a day, which i'm really excited for also.. both jobs are afternoon jobs which is a plus because we wont need a babysitter for Nia. Well thats whats going on with us for now.. Zo and I are more in love than ever.. we're going on 9yrs of being together and 3yrs of being married... and we're still so much in love....what a life!!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Zo and Nia. Nia was 4lbs 3oz... she probably was 4lbs 7oz in this pic she was 3 days old and I needed rest.. I can remember being so tired.. Larenzo had just came home from school and work.. I remembered he had so much homework to do but he tucked me into bed and took Nia and they did homework together. He laid here on her pillow that she still sleeps on till this day and he had his keyboard just typing away while she slept. When I finally woke up I snapped this pic. What a great husband and father Nia and I have been blessed with.

Family Adventures....

Well this past month was great.. I finally had the chance to meet my mother- n-law who is a trip and a half.. she was way to funny.. I see where Zo gets alot of his attitude and his looks from. We took her up to Temple Square and she loved it.. she fit in just fine and she understood many of the principles we believe in... one day you guys... one day!! Nia loved her granny being here.. she couldnt sleep at night because she was so excited.. that means momma didnt sleep either!!
It was sad when mom had to leave, there was an emptiness in the home... probably becuase i enjoyed the adult interaction during the day.. Nia knew she was gone too though...she was pretty sad. That was until I took my baby to McDonalds... she love to eat what can I say!
Well the at home job I started didnt work out so well so now I'm just chillin during the day.. trying to keep up on my house work.. I must admit I dont miss getting up at 4am every morning!
So guess what!!!.... keep guessing... no that wasnt it.... give up yet... oh heck I'll just tell you... WE'RE BUYING A HOUSE!!! YEAH!!! We finally decided to get a home of our own.. we hate that we're leaving the ward we are in but we will still have those friends that we love so much... (you know who you are!!) We'll still play Zilch from time to time right??? Heck yeah.. Ya'll cant get rid of the DeGraffenreidts that easily!!! We're also looking for renters for the townhome that we are in currently... if you know of anyone let us know!! Well I promise I will keep you current...oh and dont forget to smile it increases you face value!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Nia jus turned 1 yr old!! YEAH.. Now she can get a job!! I told her she could use me as a reference (lol). Well we started out the day taking dad new pants to school since his ripped.. he never checks this blog so we'll keep that between us (lol). Nia had the chance to put on her Birthday suit made by aunt Jill and go show dad when we arrived at the school.

Dad had his class sing happy birthday to Nia.. she just smiled and sang along....

When dad got home Nia went to McDonalds with mom and dad to have her first happy meal and she thourougly enjoyed it
